Description

The SuperNationals K-12 Championship is a once-in-a-lifetime event and the pinnacle of scholastic chess tournaments.

Combining the National Elementary, Middle School, and High School Championships, this year’s SuperNationals VIII is expected to draw over 5,500 players to Orlando, Florida, from May 9–11, 2025.

Held only once every four years, the 2025 SuperNationals promises to be especially exciting after the 2021 edition was canceled due to COVID-19.

Emerald Hills/Fallon Chess lead organizers Eric and Bhavna will be leading a group of players and parents to compete at this exciting, but grueling event (7 rounds over 3 days, with games lasting 2 to 4 hours). Email us at [email protected] if you have any questions about travel and other arrangements for SuperNationals.

To help our students excel as individuals and as a team, we are holding a special SuperNationals Prep online class.

Our classes will be taught by two National Masters and outstanding local junior players: NM and current California State Co-Champion and top 30 US junior, Aryan Achuthan, and NM and former Norcal State HS Champion and top 30 US junior, Evan Ai, and will include:

  • Strategic planning and opening preparation

  • Mental resilience for grueling tournament conditions

  • Game analysis and time management skills

Coach Eric will also assist, adding insights from competing at Nationals as a junior and leading Fallon teams to Nationals, including the last SuperNationals in 2017.
