In conjunction with the Valley View PTA, our popular before-school chess club returns for its second year, open to beginners up to advanced players, grades 1-5!
Whether you're an experienced tournament player, an online chess enthusiast who's never played much IRL (in real life), or a newbie just learning the rules, the Valley View Wednesday morning (8 to 9 AM) club is for you.
Sharpen your strategy with engaging lessons taught by coaches from state and national online champions, Fallon Middle School (Dublin). Compete in tournaments with trophies. Play fun variants like bughouse and blitz. Develop key thinking skills while having fun with your friends.
When: Wednesdays, 8-9 AM
Where: MPR
Fall Session: Sept 4 to Dec 11; 12 weekly classes (except for end-of-month book club)
Cost: $180; $10 discount for additional sibling
Spring Session: Jan 8 to May 14; 13 weekly classes (except for end-of-month book club and holidays)
Cost: $195; $10 discount for additional sibling
Full Year: Sept 4 to May 14: 25 classes
Cost: ($355 after $20 full-year discount); $10 discount for additional sibling
