We’re thrilled to introduce the Walnut Grove Thursday Chess Club—an opportunity to enhance your chess skills, sharpen critical thinking, and enjoy friendly competition!

 

Whether you're a seasoned tournament player, an online enthusiast eager to play in person, or a beginner just learning the game, this club is for you!

What We Offer

  • Fun Variants: Explore exciting chess styles like bughouse, King of the Hill, and blitz.

About Us

Emerald Hills Chess, a Dublin-based non-profit, is passionate about fostering critical thinking, camaraderie, and community through the world’s most popular board game. We currently teach over 300 students across 12+ after-school chess clubs in the Tri-Valley area, including our flagship Fallon Chess program, winners of state and national (online) championships. We also host affordable, family-friendly monthly tournaments for youth and adults.

Discounts and Financial Aid

  • Early Bird & Sibling Discounts: Save by registering early or enrolling siblings. Tuition is also prorated for late or partial session signups.

  • Price: $360 (Early Bird: $340 if registered by December 20, 2024)

Early Spring Session:

Late Spring Session:

  • Dates: March 13 – May 15, 2025 (9 classes)
