For Active Juniors and Adults Rated USCF 1200+ Our High-Performance class returns for its second year, taught again by GM and former US Open champion Enrico Sevillano. Whether you're a rising junior or a returning adult player, you'll benefit from the deep insights, decades of experience as a world-class competitor, and 1:1 game analysis from Sevillano, whose credentials include: Peak USCF 2612, FIDE 2537 Champion: US Open, National Open, American Open, Southern California Open (7x) and Closed (4x), East Bay Open (4x) Defeated future world champion Viswanathan Anand Each 90-minute small group (max 8:1 student:teacher) class will include: 50 minutes of structured lessons around all facets of the game 40 minutes of practice games with game analysis by Enrico Targeted homework assignments and self-practice materials to reinforce learning Perfect for both ambitious players aiming to win on a regional and national level, as well as veterans looking to maintain and raise their ratings. Requirements: current or recent (last 6 months) USCF rating of 1200+. Recommended: Compete in our monthly Tri-Valley Opens and our free Thursday night chess club, which attracts a dozen players rated 1200-2000 every week.
